Springfield Avenue Merchant News for December 6

Help us promote Springfield Avenue weekend (December 9/10)--Now with free Jitney Bus Service

We have a fun weekend lined up for Springfield Avenue this weekend: 2 holiday markets bookending all of the great businesses we have in between.

And I just heard late today that we can hire the Maplewood Jitney (a small bus owned by the Township) to drive visitors up and down the avenue --a service we will offer for free each day from 11am to 4pm.

(We're aware it might rain on Sunday. The Jitney will still run even if we need to cancel the WNTR market)

The goal is to get more people to the Avenue to benefit all of our businesses.

I've been promoting the upcoming weekend via press, our newsletter, and social media but we can use your help getting the word out.

If you communicate with your customers, please share. I've attached some graphics about the weekend, Jitney, WNTR Market.

Use any and all—below is some language you can use as well.

Holiday cheer and local shopping return to Springfield Avenue this weekend with two holiday markets and lots of holiday shopping and fun in between.

Visitors can enjoy free rides on the Maplewood Jitney along Springfield Avenue, including stops at the 2 markets and shopper stops along the avenue from 11AM to 4PM both days.

Events this weekend include:

The annual WNTR Holiday Shop & Makers Market (1688 Springfield Avenue) moves to the Springfield Avenue Gazebo this year from 11:30am - 3:30pm.

Maplewood Arts and Culture is hosting their first Art MRKT (1978 Springfield Avenue) at the 1978 Art Center from 11AM to 4PM. More than a dozen local fine artists and designers will have their work on display and for sale.

Springfield Avenue’s dozens of retail shops will be open for holiday shopping, with some businesses hosting special events and sales.

To enhance the holiday spirit, Springfield Avenue Maplewood commissioned local artist Nerissa Tutiven to design wintery window stickers that can be found all along the Avenue.
